HOME SERVICES WHAT TO EXPECT LEADERSHIP YOUTH CONTACT BIBLE LINKS

When looking for a church home, the best way to know about the life of the church is to come in person.

But, for those who are cautious, we offer this brief explanation:

PRAYERS:
We believe in the power of prayer, because the Scriptures tell us of such. So at selected times some one will be chosen to lead prayer. As the one is praying those of us listening sit quietly listening to the words of the prayer. At the conclusion the "Amen" is said which means "so be it." We each silently or audibly say "Amen." (James 5:16; Phil. 4:6; 1 John 5:14; 1 Cor. 14:16; 1 Tim. 2:8)
MUSIC:
Our music in worship is congregational singing. We use the God created instrument of our voices to praise God and speak to each other, as did the early church (Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16; Heb. 13:15)
THE LORD'S SUPPER:
We observe the communion in remembrance of Jesus life and death for our sins on the cross. We do this every first day of the week in keeping with the example and teaching of the first century church. Unleavened bread and grape juice are used for the emblems. (Matthew 26:26-29; 1 Cor. 11:23-29)
THE CONTRIBUTION:
Following the Communion we take up a free will offering. This is following the example of the early churches. (1 Cor. 16:1-2; 2 Cor. 8:1-7; 9:6-10; 1 Cor. 9:11-14; Gal. 6:6; Jas. 1:27) Our guests are not expected to give, only the local church members. However, if you decide to give, rest assured your gift will be used according to God' word.
THE MESSAGE:
We have a message from God's word. Preaching is how God has chosen to save those who believe. (Matt. 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-16; 1 Cor. 1:21; 2 Tim. 4:1-4)
BAPTISM:
Should someone respond to be baptized, you will witness the Biblical practice of immersion (full submersion, burial) in water. This is in accordance to the commands we see in Scriptures (Mark 16:15-16; Acts 2:38; Acts 10:48; (Acts 2:41; 8:12, 35-39; Acts 18:8; 19:1-5; Rom. 6:3-5; Col. 2:12). It will be for salvation in Christ, the forgiveness of sins and administered upon those old enough to believe, repent and confess faith in Jesus as the Son of God.
Our main purpose in life is to live in such a way that we give glory to God. We plead with everyone to be reconciled to God through the gospel of Christ.
